Livelihood Development
Ajit Foundation is dedicated to creating livelihood options and generating income for marginalized communities through skill development programs. By providing opportunities for skill enhancement, we aim to empower individuals to build a self-sustaining future, particularly in regions lacking advanced education and skill development opportunities.
Goat Aadhar Bank
In 2023, Ajit Foundation introduced the Goat Aadhar Bank initiative in two villages of Barshi taluka. This program aims to create new livelihood options by facilitating goat rearing for women. Three women have embraced this opportunity, receiving training and support from Ajit Foundation. Through the distribution of 25 goats, valued between Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 18,000 each, these women are now earning profits by selling calves and young goats, contributing to their family income.
Retail Management Course
In 2021, Ajit Foundation conducted a Retail Management Course to empower underprivileged youth and promote sustainable development. Over 110 youths from Yamaidevi Schools in Barshi taluka benefited from this program. The course equipped them with employability skills, including basic retail management knowledge, spoken English, and personality development. By enhancing their confidence and presentation skills, the program facilitated employment opportunities for these youth in the retail industry.
